ZAYER exhibits the new XIOS G-MT

In this 34th BIMU edition, ZAYER will present a bed-type multitasking machine, a very interesting evolution for this type of machine since it adds a 6th rotary-moving axis.

The XIOS G-MT multitasking machine optimizes production by incorporating the additional axis, thanks to its 2m diameter rotary table, being able to machine volumes of up to 2,000 mm in height, 4,000 mm in length, and 1,600 mm in depth. It maintains high levels of geometric stability, precision, and flexibility and can mill parts up to 10 Tn and turn parts up to 5 Tn, at a maximum speed of 250 rpm.

Therefore, this multitasking machine will make a difference.

In this case ZAYER exhibits the new XIOS G-MT in the 34th edition of the BIMU show, one of the most prestigious machine-tool shows in Italy.

Indeed, the XIOS G-MT will be on display at the show carrying out machining simulations on a large gear, on the machine of our Italian customer OMF COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE. After the exhibition, this machine will be transferred and installed at the customer’s site.

With the acquisition of a XIOS G-MT 2000 multitasking milling center, OMF COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE gains an important competitive advantage in terms of both the working range (4 x 1.6 x 2 m) and performance in terms of machining quality, both in milling and turning.

In Italy, there are many small and medium-sized companies involved in mechanical manufacturing for third parties. OMF Buttrio (UD) is one of them. Founded in January 1983 from a passion for mechanics, it is a company that makes a difference to its customers in the steel mechanics and energy sectors. Back in 2018, they installed a ZAYER moving column, KAIROS 8000, with which they tackled the manufacturing of mechanical parts with significantly larger dimensions than those of their direct competitors in the area (8 x 1.6 x 2.5 m). This time, the acquisition of the XIOS G-MT 2000 will undoubtedly complement the machine range and open up to an increasing number of potential customers.

COSTRUZIONI MECCANICHE is a company with 40 years of experience specializing in the manufacturing of heating plates, extrusion cylinders, molds, hydraulic blocks, etc. They also supply the shipbuilding and civil construction industries, including the anti-seismic and high-speed protection industry and the oil field, working stainless steel and titanium. The owners of the company, Elia Masotti and Maurizio Giovanatto, are very satisfied with their investment.
